Egis’ participation in The Night of Modern Factories – a remarkable success again

Over the year, non-professionals have the chance to visit the Egis Science and Technology Centre (ESTC) a couple of times and we are always delighted to see that our events are always highly popular. It wasn’t different this year either, within days we were fully booked.

On the second weekend of November, we welcomed more than a hundred visitors in the Egis Science and Technology Centre. We were delighted to see the strong interest, which was maintained by the visitors also during the programme in the ESCT. They found out about the general operation of a pharma company, and got to know the roots of the factory as they travelled back almost 110 years in time. All this couldn’t have been properly presented without the help of our guiding colleagues and recalling the memory of the founder Mr Sándor Balla.  Our usually popular attractions such as the forklift driving game were also in demand while quite a few guests gave the vintage cream filling machine a try: they could fill the hand cream  into tubes and then seal it themselves. At this event we introduced two new interactive games: multiple screens where visitors could conduct amazing virtual experiments and also a chemistry-based word puzzle game where the guests had the opportunity to compare their creativity and (chemistry)vocabulary.
