The competition, announced by Egis together with four partnering universities and the Szabó Szabolcs Foundation aims to help practising teachers of chemistry but in the long term it can have a positive effect on the education of future scientists as well.
A new feature has been added to the career guidance portfolio of Egis Pharmaceuticals Plc. Egis, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Eötvös Loránd University, Semmelweis University and University of Szeged are the five founding partners of the Colourful Chemistry platform. Working together with The Charitable Foundation for Natural Sciences Education in Memoriam Szabó Szabolcs they have launched a competition for teachers of chemistry.
The organisers are looking for ideas that can attract 12–13-year-olds who have just begun taking chemistry classes:
-        ideas that spark the interest of this age group in the subject
-        ideas that show how much potential is hidden in chemistry and demonstrate the many ways and forms this science is present in our everyday life
The competition is open for teachers of chemistry working in elementary, secondary schools or in higher education and for undergraduate chemistry students.
