With lectures held by our colleagues on pharmaceutical processes, our accredited course „Egis Pharma from A to Z” has been offered for students at four universities in the 2022/2023 spring semester.

The course is as popular as in previous years: chemistry and environment engineers from BME, chemists from ELTE and pharmacy students from Semmelweis University (all universities are based in Budapest) have expressed their interest to attend the offline classes, while pharmacy students at the University of Szeged can follow the live streamed lectures.
At the opening ceremony the course participants were welcomed by the representatives of the participating universities. They pointed out the usefulness of the topics, the professionalism of the lecturers, encouraged the students to use the opportunities the course offers and emphasized the importance of teamwork since turning a molecule into a medicine requires the joint effort of many professionals. A Thank you came from Szeged for making the course available for their students despite the distance.
On behalf of Egis Csaba Haraszti, Deputy Director of Regulatory Directorate addressed the students. Representing his colleagues, he emphasized in his speech that not only the knowledge gained during the course is important, but being passionate about one’s profession is also a key factor. The sense of vocation is apparent with Egis lecturers giving their presentations in this course. Csaba Haraszti finished his speech by wishing good luck to the students and encouraging them to put what they learned into practice, at Egis as well.
The Egis Pharma from A to Z credit-point course was launched at three universities of Budapest (BME, ELTE, SE) in 2016. The course offers an insight into the processes of the pharma industry for prospective pharmaceutical professionals during their studies. It also shows how a continually evolving multinational pharmaceutical company meets the challenges of the 21st century. The University of Szeged joined the initiative in 2020, since then the course has been available at four universities in the spring semester.
