Our sailing section was represented with five boats (among them the 50cruiser, that took the name of Betadine last year) in four classes in the large field, that started and finished the competition  in Balatonfüred.
In the race, which is  officially held from 14- 16 July, the fastest Egis boat (Audax Django in the Open Multihull class) came fifth in the overall field, finishing in just over eight hours. Magnum (Nau 370 Run) was ranked 34th, the 100% (Asso 99) 37th, while the two cruisers 50, Lizabella and Betadine, finished in 111th and in 145th place, respectively.
The Egis' sailing section was established in 1961, its competitor members regularly participate in the most prestigious domestic regattas – in the Blue Ribbon and the Balaton Cup.
