On the 3rd of December, at the yearly event of the Pharmacists Public Association Days, dr István Hodász was granted the Golden Medal award of the Hungarian Chamber of Pharmacists. As mentioned in the laudation, dr István Hodász initiated the establishment of the Chamber’s Standing Committee on Industry and he actively took part in drawing up its programme. One of the key elements of the Committee’s programme is to organize practical industrial training for undergraduate pharmacy students. The scheme has been a success for years, it has contributed to expanding pharmacists’ knowledge of the industry and increasing their employment in the sector.  István Hodász paid special attention to promoting the recognition and professional development of the pharmacist and pharmacy assistant profession. On his initiative, the Chamber launched two awards: the Award for Providing Outstanding Pharmacist Care and the Outstanding Pharmacy Assistant Award.
